Meet Your Therapist
Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist
Danielle is a Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist with over 10 years of experience supporting youth, individuals, and families across diverse communities. She holds a Master’s degree in Social Work with a minor in Family Supports and Community Practice, and brings a blend of clinical knowledge, cultural humility, and lived experience into every session—creating a space that is both grounded and guided by connection, not performance.
I believe we are spirit beings who are meant to live in connection with ourselves, with others, and with something greater. But in today’s world, so many of us are navigating deep loneliness, burnout, and disconnection. We’re overextended, overwhelmed, and constantly comparing our lives to highlight reels on social media. It’s no wonder so many people are struggling to feel grounded, worthy, or whole.
This practice is rooted in my belief that healing happens in relationships with people who see you, not just your symptoms. While I value evidence-based modalities like narrative therapy, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care, I also know what the research confirms: real change comes from the connection between therapist and client. I believe the client is the expert in their story and is the most important player in the healing and growth process of counselling. It’s not about having all the answers, it’s about having a space where you can be fully seen.
Culturally, I often joke that I’m “all nations.” My mother is a Black woman hailing from Trinidad and Tobago, and my father is a white Canadian with roots in Ukraine and Scotland. I’m a proud product of the melting pot that is Toronto, raised in a city where diverse cultures, traditions, and faiths have shaped how I move through the world. I describe myself as an Afro-centric Christian: deeply spiritual, grounded in Afro-Caribbean principles, and open to the wisdom in all traditions. That intersectional lens is reflected in my work and the kind of space I aim to create.
As a therapist, I’m soft when softness is needed, and direct when it matters most. I don’t shy away from truth, but I’ll always deliver it with care. Sometimes I speak like a friend. Sometimes with that unmistakable Toronto realness. And sometimes, we just need to laugh before we dive into the deep stuff (and I love a good laugh). My clients tend to appreciate the balance of warmth, honesty, and that unfiltered, relatable energy. You won’t get a performance here, just a trusted friend to walk beside you.
